The subject matter I explore is "home" and my fascination begins with the vocabulary of vessels. Pots narrate our lives, illustrating domestic shapes and reflecting daily routines. Stained coffee cups, chipped plates, and ceramic heirlooms that remain untouched are stories I believe are worth telling through the stains, cracks and other refined objects. To reflect personal interest I use illustrations and patterns that evoke adolescent behavior, personal experiences, relationships with loved ones, and pop culture. As a result, I aspire to create unrefined vessels that celebrate vulnerability and beauty, that also sugar coat life's escapades and serve as a bridge between the real and surreal.
