The irreverent characters on my cups are an outlet for my background in illustration as well as another side of who I am. I view the mug as a personal statement and the opportunity to express one’s self, much like a caption bubble in a cartoon. These cups are designed to take on the form of a standard comic strip pane. I use candy colored interiors to add to the playfulness of the vessel and further the personalization of each piece. Everyone has a playful side to their identity and these cups are an exploration of that.
