ARTIST STATEMENT
Although possessing technical knowledge of ceramics production, our foray into the field was initially marked by a lack of familiarity with the vibrant community of potters and ceramics enthusiasts. The acquisition of our first kiln was fortuitous, and as creative partners, we seized the opportunity to expand our personal and professional horizons. Since then, we have utilized ceramics production as a medium for sharing our hand-painted designs with people around the world, integrating our unique creations into their daily lives.

BIOGRAPHY
Shrusko is a creative duo comprising of Nina Mrdenovic and Jost Bukovec, both born in 1989. Their paths did not cross until 2013, at which point they began collaborating on various design projects such as alternative children's books and theatre scenography for underground performances. In 2015, they discovered ceramics as a medium that harmoniously combined their prior experience in handwork, illustration, creation, and usability.

Located in a quaint village to the east of Ljubljana, Slovenia, surrounded by untamed forests, wildlife, and overlooked meadows, Shrusko creates unique ceramics with an emphasis on functionality and illustration. Their objective is to maintain their playful approach to creation while producing useful, illustrated ceramic pieces.
